Planning for Noah’s ARC Design Challenge has Begun for ASID and The Salvation Army Anaheim ARC
Get ready Orange County! Noah’s ARC is coming back for its fourth annual celebration of creativity, and repurposing of donated amterials – creating opportunity to restore the lives of those in our community!
What is Noah’s ARC?
The Salvation Army and the American Society of Interior Designers of Orange County (ASID) are combining resources to create beautiful interior design with recycled items turned to gorgeous living spaces while benefitting the community at large, through the fourth annual Noah’s ARC Interior Design Challenge.
ASID student members from four local interior design colleges have taken on the challenge of designing 12’ X 12’ vignette rooms at four Salvation Army Family Stores in OrangeCounty using only donated items.
These design teams of three to four students utilize donated items and paint to construct a designated theme in each store location. The participating locations for Noah’s ARC are in Fountain Valley [26229 Brookhurst St.], Huntington Beach [17362 Beach Blvd.], Orange [180 S. Tustin Blvd.], and San Clemente [2727 Via Cascadita].
On Saturday, April 13th, the finished rooms will be unveiled at each store. Designers will present their rooms, answer questions about their decorating style, and share tips with the public. Displays will be presented for two weeks through Saturday, April 27th.
Stay tuned for more details, announcement of the teams, and the silent auction of the materials to be on display! You will want to be on hand to support the students, cause, and communtiy in appreciating this wonderful event!
